MANDRY’ history

March 2004 – the first issue of the magazine published and presented at the international travel and tourism exhibition UITT-2004

July 2004 – the beginning of cooperation with the UM Air. The magazine was published in two languages – Ukrainian and English. Passengers of all flights, operated by the airlines, received 10 thousand copies of the magazine

June 2005 – MANDRY distributed through all restaurants of the Kozyrna Karta network, biggest in Ukraine

December 2005 – MANDRY announced the best specialized travel and tourism edition of Ukraine

January 2006 - MANDRY publication increased to nine editions per annum

February – December 2006 – MANDRY’s journalists visited the total of 53 world countries, bringing brisk and interesting reports from every trip

August 2006 – MANDRY disseminated through the Carte Blanche restaurant network

December 2006 – MANDRY announced the best specialized travel and tourism edition of Ukraine

January 2007 – MANDRY publication increased to ten editions per annum

March 2007 – MANDRY distributed in 13 restaurants of the Mirovaya Karta network

Traveler’s budget

MANDRY’s journalists count all expenses tourists will have. An air ticket, meals, staying at a hotel, guides’ services are included in the budget, so tourists know exactly how much it will cost to travel to Morocco or any other country

Travel business

The magazine keeps track of statistical data, analyzes the situation with the travel market – the number  of Ukrainians that have been abroad, money spent in foreign countries etc. Specifically, the number of Ukrainians, who visited Greece last year, was not smaller than the number of Russian tourists in this country.

Interviews

MANDRY ask “stars” – writers, actors, pop-stars, politicians, sportsmen – about details of their trips, funny episodes, fears and dreams. Publisher Ivan Malkovych dreams to visit Vienna, where his ancestors studied, singer Ruslana says the most handsome men live in the Ukrainian Carpathians, and MP Mykola Tomenko is instantly pacified by smiling Japanese women.
